Ted Haggard on evolution and Christian arrogance

Until recently, Ted Haggard was the leader of the Evangelicals in the USA. If you want to know why he isn't anymore, you can check out various news reports for yourself.
What I want to say about him goes back a few years, to a snippet of an interview between himself an Richard Dawkins, the extreme agnostic author of The God Delusion. In this interview, Haggard remarkably ends up accuses Dawkins of arrogance, when it is plainly himself who is the most intellectually arrogant of the two.
Even allowing for the fact that there may be one or possibly two editorial cuts in the video excerpt, it is this type of arrogance from Christians that alienates us from the people we wish to reach most. And, it is this type of arrogance that leads us to foolhardy theological and (il)logical positions.
Maybe what I really want to say is that the National Association of Evangelicals does not speak for me. But you judge for yourself...
