Safety in numbers...

It always seemed strange to me that whenever I found someone else who was going through the same struggles and questions that I was going through I felt as if I wanted to cry with relief. There is a real in which you feel as if you are crazy; losing your mind when you are the only one questioning in a group of people who seem so sure of something. You keep wondering how people can place their hope and faith in a system that appears to have no integral substance. There have been times of great fear where I have pushed people in conversation to see what I am talking about so I would feel some of that relief but of course in reality they had no idea what I was saying. The fact is there is safety in numbers. I am less afraid of any path I walk if I see at least some walking the same road. There are just times when you need to know you aren't crazy and that there are those who hear you and who resonate with you.
