I know it's true - all people HAVE sinned and fall short of the glory of the God.  BUT, is this the best opening line when speaking to nonChristians?  I doubt it.  I don't believe Jesus ever started a conversation with those words.  Nor, in fact, did Paul, who actually wrote them.  Those words come from Paul in the middle of a lengthy theological argument, mainly aimed at showing Jews and Gentiles that they are equal before God - in their sin and their redemption.

It was not meant to be the cover page of the tracts we write to attract people to Jesus.

But try and tell that to the Christians who put this banner together...


Besides the fact that this is so unloving that it cannot be Christian ("They will know you are my disciples by your love"), I am also intrigued at who makes the list, and who does not.

Why are the Jews not on this list?  Fundamentalist Christians have a weird relationship with (particularly Zionist) Jews.  Why?  I like the fact that "unloving husbands" seems to be a late addition to the list.  What about "gluttons", "gossips", "environment destroyers" and any number of others sins the Bible is very, very clear about?

This poster sickens me at so many levels!

These people call themselves Christians.  Well, they're not serving the same Jesus I am, that is for sure.

It is sad... These are the kind of folks are the Pharisees of our day... they don't represent our Lord, or his loving way.

The very fact that they produce the kind of reaction evident from these comments shows that they have missed the point. More worrying is the fact that they make "reasonable" prejudice more reasonable by offering such a violent extreme. Most of us can now turn around and say "Thank G-D we are not like that". But we should still be vigilant and guard against speaking the truth in hate.

that poster may not be touchy, feely, and warm but it does get attention,becouse it worked on you. some people need to be shocked to wake them up. this poster may not be what you like, but before you critiize it. remember JESUS is coming soon not as the LAMB OF GOD, but AS THE LION OF JUDAH to pour out his wrath on the earth and it will be one of the greatest revivals in history. it will take something alot stronger than that poster to reach people. if a child was about to burn themselves on a stove you would do what ever it took to stop them. well stopping someone from going to hell for eternity needs the same urgentcey. i want to close by saying it is not the church's place to save the earth, we have one mission only and that is to spread the gospel, nowhere in the bible is saving the earth part of the gospel. it is an atempt of satan to knock the church of it's course. keep your eyes on JESUS, not mother earth.
